Happy New Year from Thailand! January was a great month and we truly feel like this new year is going to be special. After a couple tough years over here if finally feels like we are in a new season and we feel so encouraged. This new season started off with some big blessings, one being a new (used) truck for our family!

Last month, we put out a prayer request about getting a new truck. We had been using a work truck for the last 6+ years but it finally seemed like the time to get our own vehicle. We asked you all to pray if it was the right time and if so that God would provide. Well, within 2 weeks, we had enough funds to get something even better than we had dreamed. The whole process of finding, the truck, purchasing it, working out all the logistics, and miraculously being able to do the whole deal in Thai felt so smooth. Thank you so much for those who prayed and for those who so generously supported out family's new vehicle that will be such a blessing for our ministries and also every day life.

Here's our 2015 Toyota truck with 4 wheel drive :)

(Neighborhood excitment the day we brought the truck home. Its amazing to have a community that celebrates with you!)

We've already taken the truck on a trip to a border area (about 5 hours away) where we did a site visit for a large youth program that I'm coordinating for April (est about 200-250 kids for 4 days!). We were also able to visit a children's home we are in relationship with and put on a short program (games, devotions, worship) and BBQ with the help of some good friends/ co-workers. We even got to see our good friend Amy and her daughter and stay with them during our visit (for those who don't remember, Amy and I moved to Thailand together in 2012 with a 2 year commitment and here we both are all these years later ;))

I have been so proud to see my husband step back into work after his leave and come back in strength. Our family is refreshed and thriving, so please keep praying for us! I was really blessed when Adam led worship for our house church recently and we've had some really sweet family time since the New Year. There have been no lack of festivities with a special wedding, the annual flower festival, Chinese New Year, kindergarten teddybear parade, Star Wars themed Bday party, strawberry season, and Cherry blossoms blooming in the mountains (of course we went on a mountain bike date to go find them). (Also Quinn enjoying regular trips to the local cat cafe while Eden is in school).

Here are some other moments since the New Year, teaching English for youth, taking medical patients on an outing to a flower festival/ lights show, going to Karen church and visiting special Karen friends and staff families on a work trip.

Upcoming!

Our annual staff meetings are approaching and its always a mixture of madness and fun. I'll be coordinating fun family outings for our visiting ethnic staff and a women's event. If you would like to financially support these outings please reach out to me!

I am also coordinating a large youth event that I mentioned above. If you'd like more information on how to support this event, please reach out to me, I'm praying that another $1,000 comes in so that we can make this year's event even bigger, better, and smoother than last year's.

We also are praying about an opportunity to minister to Afghan refugees in Tajikistan. We will most likely join our team for 2 weeks there this spring.

Thank you for reading, praying, and loving us. It makes such a difference to our family,

With gratitude,

Adam, Aimee, Eden, and Quinn Wallis
